We’re here to get your bird to you - fast, safe, and without confusion. And if something’s not quite right? No worries. We’ll make it right.

Here’s everything you need to know about shipping and returns, in one handy perch.


Shipping

Delivery Options

  • Standard Shipping: Arrives in 3-5 business days

  • FedEx 2-Day: For when patience isn’t your strong suit

You’ll get a tracking email once your order flies the coop.

Shipping Rates

  • Standard: $9.99 to $14.99 (based on weight and location)

  • FedEx 2-Day: $14.99 to $16.99 (based on weight and location)

  • FREE Standard Shipping on orders over $150*

  • *Note: Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico ship for $19.99 flat - no free shipping here (sorry!).

International Orders

We do ship globally. Rates and customs duties are calculated at checkout. You’re responsible for any local taxes or import restrictions - we don’t control that part.

Processing Time

We aim to pack and dispatch orders within 1–2 business days - it's often same day if you order before 2pm. It just depends what else is going on.

Shipping Protection / Insurance

We offer Shipping Protection via Route directly on our website. While you don't have to take Route, if anything happens to your package in transit, Route will quickly approve another order to come to you - it's a little extra peace of mind and takes a bunch of the hassle out of missing packages. Filing a claim is easy, they are often handled within a few hours and you don't need to contact us first - they will sort it out directly.

Don’t want it? No worries. We’ll still do our best to help where it’s fair and reasonable — especially if something arrives damaged or clearly not right. But Route gives you broader coverage and a smoother claims process, especially for lost or stolen items.


Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your bird. If it’s not what you hoped for, here’s how to handle it:

Return & Exchange Policy

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order: info@metalbird.com

  • Send the item back within 21 days of purchase

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and ready to perch in a new home

Who Pays What?

  • You cover return shipping

  • We cover the cost to ship any exchanged item back to you

How It Works

  1. Email us with your order details

  2. Send your bird back to the address below

  3. Include your tracking info so we can watch for it

  4. Once received, we’ll issue your refund or ship your replacement within 7 business days

Damaged or Lost Orders

Things can happen in transit. If your bird arrives damaged - or vanishes completely - let us know within 14 days of expected delivery. We’ll investigate and replace it where needed.


Changing Your Order

Need to cancel or fix an address? Contact us within 1 hour of placing your order. Once it’s packed and shipped, we can’t guarantee changes.
